Hi, Your OCBC Bank example. Kindly confirm Your calculated Book Value per Share is 59,316/4515 = 13.14 or 60,380/4515 =13.373? If Book Value per Share is 13.38, Then you are taking Total equity (60,380) in the Balance Sheets and not 59,316.

Hi Jonathan,

As mentioned in the video, the banks’ FY2025 results were just released when I was recording it. So when I demonstrated where to collect the data, I used the FY2024 annual report because the FY2025 annual report had not been released yet. However, when doing the calculations, I mentioned that I would use the latest FY2025 results as a better reference for the current situation. The $13.38 figure refers to the net asset value that I took from the media release, which you can find on page 12. Do note that as banks move forward over time, their previous years’ book value or NAV may sometimes be restated due to accounting changes or reviews.
