Hi guys, for step 5 of the REIT checklist, under the business quadrant which states “New developments coming soon?” Is this new developments of the REIT or of the sponsor. For example, I’m reviewing CICT and can’t seem to find any news on new properties for them. Am I supposed to find out new developments by CapitaLand the sponsor instead? also side note, is CapitaLand the sponsor or Capitaland Investment Limited (CLI)? Because I saw on a SGX news release that CLI is the sponsor. Thanks!

Hi Mallvin, New development refers to the REIT, not the Sponsor. In the case of CICT, I don't think there is any on-going major property redevelopment in the portfolio. In the past, they've done it with CapitaGreen and Funan mall.

Could I also check for CICT, is the Sponsor CLI or CapitaLand?

CLI owns stakes in all the Capitaland REITs. CLI belongs to Capitaland. So they are actually the same.
