Hi Victor, Rusmin,
Midea Group was listed in Sep 2024 on HKEX after being listed on SZSE since 2013 (ticker: 000333)
I've been using its products for a couple of years and noticed that their quality has improved over the years.
Will you both be looking into this company as a dividend play?
I understand it has been quite consistent in paying dividends since listed in Shen Zhen Stock Exchange.
It has grown its market share too both domestically in China and globally.

Hi Daniel,
Agree with you that Chinese appliances are quite solid nowadays. However, Midea is in hardware business which has little differentiation, so it is difficult to classify them into one of the moats. Generally, hardware business can get quite lumpy once the replacement cycle is over but thanks for your suggestion, we will continue to monitor this company closely.
