Q&ACategory: Dividend StocksRE: EPS Growth Rate Data
Danny Lee asked 11 months ago
Hi FP, would like to know anywhere we can download the EPS growth rate statistics for listed companies? Does Yahoo Finance has it or we have to manually calculate it by taking the EPS info from the AR of the coy (final FY EPS) for each FY? Am trying to see if what is the fastest way to get the PEG info to calculate the Risk Reward method taught yesterday. Thanks! Danny

Hi Danny, We usually calculate manually by listing down EPS each year then use CAGR calculator. Sometimes companies may have financial highlight that summarises the EPS over last five year. If they do not provide, then have to do it manually unless you have acccess to paid data platform like Tikr, Bloomberg, FactSet or CIQ.

Thanks Rusmin! Have you used Tikr before? Do they have good coverage of SG/HK and USA stocks like having at least 10 years of data? Have you used Koyfin as well (been using their free tier and I find it quite useful) and how you compare it to Tikr?

Lastly, if you use such platforms, do you take their data wholesale or will do some sample verifications? I thought if we are using it for valuation/trending purposes, it should be okay.

Thanks!

I tried Tikr before and I think it is quite decent since they source data from CapitalIQ. You can random verify from time to time but if usually they are quite reliable if they source data from the big three (Bloomberg, CIQ, FactSet). Koyfin is another one that you can consider too. I think they both can offer what you are looking for.

thanks Rusmin! will consider their paid tier then since they offer more statistics than the free one.
