Hi Fifth Person, In view of the tariffs, could you do a live webinar to talk about the impact and opportunities for SG and HK markets? thanks.

Hi Brandon,

Yes, we are monitoring the situation and we will do the live webinar for Pro members when the time comes. Right now, you can use the cut-off price presented during the live webinar as the base. Their fundamental hasn't changed much yet.

We have just released one video yesterday which you can watch. Right now, US market is entering the bear market but Singapore is still in the correction territory only. Once it enters the bear market, we will definitely do one.

most dividend stocks that we own are not really affected by recent tariff war. They should continue to pay stable dividends but certainly, their share prices will be affected if trade war really turns out ugly.

Is the HKD safe as it is pegged to USD which is weakening now? Will HKD strengthen or weaken against SGD? Wanted to ask for tomorrow webinar but I forgot to submit the Q&A while registering.

The negative peak sentiment for Hong Kong in 2022 and early 2023 were a big test for HKD/USD depegging but HK survived the crisis then. Given its huge reserve of USD421b, HK government is committed to keep the pegging intact. The pegging is on the stronger side now, so it is not something that we should be concern of. In the future, the risk of depegging may happen one day and no one knows when that's going to take place... I guess it would only happen if China becomes the world's reserve currency. When will that happen? No one knows...
