Q&ACategory: Dividend StocksPlotting Entry & Exit Price Using Yahoo Finance
YT Lim asked 6 months ago
Hi Rusmin & Victor, and everyone here are welcome to help. I'm now at step 8 - plotting the Entry & Exit Price on Excel chart.  Now that Yahoo Finance has updated their website & no longer allow copy & paste of the historical prices or export to excel sheet.  Do you know alternative places where I can get the historical prices? Thanks!

Switch back to classic Yahoo Finance. Don't use New Yahoo Finance version.

Thanks Angus! but I can’t switch back to Yahoo classic.  Clicked the button many times, it only reffreshed the page but didn’t change the layout, I tried on different browsers, same result.
went to reddit people also saying they were not able to switch it back. If it’s been working for you, can you share how you get the classic layout workign again.  Thank you for the help!

I managed to revert back to classic view but when I clicked the [Download] button, it no longer work! Did it worked for you?

I also cannot download, but can copy and paste. Now must do manually.

I can't switch back, and seems like its for gold member which requires subscriptions. Any alternatives to share? i'm still finding how to get historical data other than yahoo

Hi James, yes I heard there’s no reverting back for premium members. Maybe you can try to log out and access the page again.
Try on both Yahoo Finance SG & Yahoo finance(global), I’m able to revert back to classic interface on Yahoo Finance, but not on SG website.
Hope it works for you.

I was not aware yahoo finance has stopped allowing download of the data. Pls check if this website can do so for SGX stocks. Not sure how many years of historical data can be downloaded. https://eoddata.com/download.aspx?e=SGX

Thanks Daniel. I checked your link. The free membership only gives 30 days of data. For stock valuation purpose, we need at least 5 years of historical price data.

Try out investing.com

You probably need to sign up (free) to download the historical price.

Thanks Rusmin. I managed to extract historical price from Investing.com
